Here’s a Hand is an innovative tool for older or disabled people who’d like a bit of support and advice from family, friends or neighbours. It is an online service that transforms the process of asking for and offering help by connecting the people you already know and trust via email, SMS and social media.
We are currently running a free pilot in Edinburgh, and are seeking users to take part. Please spread the word!
For more information, come and meet us! We are running two drop-in information sessions:
- Friday 18th May – any time between 2 pm and 4 pm at City of Edinburgh Council’s Waverley Court in East Market Street. (Directions http://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/location )
- Saturday 2nd June – any time between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm at Edinburgh Central Library on George IV Bridge. (Directions http://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/directory_record/5084/central_lending_library )
There may even be tea and coffee! If you cant make it download a leaflet or get in touch. See you soon!
